2008 Mental Health on Campus Conference
Call for Presentations
The conference days will be broken up into plenary speakers, breakout sessions, and workshops. We are asking for your help to run the workshops!
For 1-hour, we will run simultaneous workshops on "Best Practices for Active Minds Chapters." These workshops will be led by current or former Active Minds members who will teach about effective programs that they have run on their campus. All submissions are welcomed, but priority will be given to workshops that present programs that:
- Educate many members of campus
- Can be easily replicated on other campuses, with clear direction given by the presenters on how to do so
- Reach a diverse section of campus (students, faculty, administration), or concentrate on a topic particuarly salient to the campus community
- Devote at least 1/3 of presentation time to interactive dialogue/activities
Depending on the number of submissions we receive, we may have two presentations per hour. If accepted, your entire conference registration fee is waived (we encourage group submissions, though only up to two registration fees per school can be waived)!
